Attention to Details is One of The Main Ingredient of Becoming Succesful In Anything that You Do

Tuesday, July 17th, 2007

Again, I learn this the way. In the early of this month (July 2007), I tried to changed my affiliate links at handcellphone.com Free Phone Shop. The change is very vital for the growth of website as I need to track where the customers are coming from. Anyway, I spent a couple of hours to change the links, then I increased 2x of Adwords Advertising money, hopes that I can make more sales. Surprisingly, after I have done so, my sales drop like falling stones. My sales drop to barely 1/10 of my previous month which is very shocking for me. So, I went ahead and go check the links that I have changed and they looks ok for me as the affiliate links are reachable from my sites. After half month of checking, finally, I found out that I forgot to add “&” in the links that I had changed. So, that means, I had sent customers to my affiliated site without getting any credit for that.

What Is The Difference Between Blogger, Webmaster and Magazine Editor?

Monday, July 2nd, 2007

The answer is nothing. I have seen too many bloggers out there try to rewrite news from other blogs and claim themselves as “bloggers”. There are too many “bloggers” in the blogsphere who just paraphrase somebody’s words. One thing that they don’t know is to succeed in the Internet business, they need to write something valuable to readers. If you a new-born blogger and you want to become successful, it is good if you think yourself as a magazine editor instead of a blogger. The term “blogger” doesn’t give people a feeling of a professional job. Part of the reason is our famous “Problogger”, Darren Rowse makes extremely good income with bunch of “low” quality websites such as Digital Camera Reviews | Camera Phone Reviews , makes people feel lazy and wants to follow his footsteps. But you thing you should know is Darren Rowse has quality site Problogger.net which attracts bunch of links and he pass all these authorities back to his “junky” sites which make the “God in Internet”, Google gives his sites bunch of free traffics.

As a blogger, you job is nothing difference to a webmaster or magazine editor. For me, Michael Arlington should be called Web Magazine Editor of Techcrunch.com
